The Power to Advance
THE UNCOMMON
"Launch out into the deep" - Luke 5:4
The disciples were out fishing, but they were not catching any fish. They sat in the same place for several hours but they were not producing. Have you ever been there? Then Jesus stepped on the scene and gave them a Word. "You guys are in an all-too-common place. Move from your place of comfort. Go further out. Do that which is uncommon. Launch out into the deep." When they acted upon Jesus' Word and did that which was uncommon to them, they achieved their goals.
What do you want to accomplish today? God's ability in you, and his grace upon you, is most of what you need to succeed, but it is not enough. What remains is your decision to succeed by persistent work through faith. It is not enough to have faith; we must work. It is not enough to work; we must have faith.
When your work surpasses the mundane and requires more than you have, then you need "the faith of God." As God leads you, launch out into the deep. That is where you will find, not only the "God kind of faith," but the God kind of life.
Seek to advance beyond what is common...risk and excel!

POWER PRAYER
Father, You are a Person of Your Word. If You say it, it is so. You said that through faith in You, I could move mountains. There are mountains in my life to be moved today. There are opportunities to serve You and increase today. Thank You for giving me the power to do the uncommon. As I take action according to Your Word, grant me your grace in Jesus' name. Amen.
