Connections is our small groups ministry.  The purpose of Connections is to provide opportunities for people to grow in their faith through authentic Christ-centered relationships.  All of us want to go to a place where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came.  Connections is that place.

Connections brings people together for fellowship, friendship, and fun, while focusing their attention on the exciting opportunity to lead the World to Jesus.

Connect with us as we gather together in small groups for life-enriching conversations.  Discover and live God's dream for you!

The ABC's of Connections

Achieve

Each of us has gifts and goals.   We want to use our gifts to reach our goals.   We want to do something meaningful. In Connections others help people achieve their goals through prayer, support, and fresh ideas from others.   Sometimes, people become lethargic or apathetic due to failing to reach their goals.    Connections can also provide opportunities for you to achieve something in a group context, which may help you transition during difficult times from frustration to faith.

Be

Shakespeare's Hamlet said, "To be or not to be; that is the question." Well everyone wants to be.   The commercial says, "Be you, do what you do."   The need for personal identity, feeling special, and uniqueness, exists within each of us.   Often this is damaged through bad experiences, abusive relationships, fear of failure, etc.   Connections can help you rediscover that sense of "being" and help minister to the places that have been broken.   Very often "being" is created (or redefined) and supported in group context.

Connect

"No man is an island."   "You need me and I need you."   "I love you, you love me, we're best friends, as friends can be."   These all speak to the need to connect.   This is a base human need.  We all need to belong to a group that welcomes us for who we are.   We all want to go to a place "where everyone knows your name, and they are always glad you came."    Connections can help you find a place like that.   Connections will provide an opportunity for you to connect in safe, satisfying, and sacred ways.

A Biblical Basis for Small Groups

The idea of small groups is clearly seen in Scripture.   In the early days of man, God used a small group - Noah's family of 8 - to save the human race.   (Genesis 6)   God instructed Moses, via Jethro, to divide the spiritual load among able men who would lead groups of 10 or more.   (Exodus 18)    Nehemiah organized the people of God into groups to subdivide the tasks associated with building the wall.   (Nehemiah 3)    After Peter preached one the best sermons ever preached, believers began meeting from house to house.   (Acts 2)   Finally, Jesus changed the world by meeting with a small group of twelve men for three and half years.   (The Gospels)
